About Us

We’re a fully-dedicated, full-service, family-owned online SUP shop founded in 2006. We only carry boards, paddles, accessories, and apparel we believe in. We pride ourselves on our product knowledge and personalized customer service. Our team has a thorough appreciation of board design and construction.

We’re actively involved in the ever-growing SUP community in beautiful Bend, Oregon, where our flagship store is located, and where we also offer high-quality, affordable rental SUP boards as well as SUP lessons and fitness classes. That's why our focus is on boards that perform well on flat water. However, our roots are in surfing so we also carry the best wave-riding boards on the market as well as some very versatile ones that are great for paddlers who want one board for both flat water and surf.

Co-owner Chip Booth has over 25 years of experience in the action sports industry. An accomplished surfer and snowboarder, he's been around boards his entire life and even makes SUP boards himself. His wife Lainey is a fitness instructor who loves SUP for its phenomenal body conditioning benefits.

Giving Back

Stand Up Paddle Flatwater supports several local charities, organizes river clean ups regularly, and hosts a big fundraising stand up paddle race for the Bend Paddle Trail Alliance yearly.

Shipping Polices

Unless otherwise noted we will ship within five business days.

FREE SHIPPING to anywhere in the continental United States is offered on all orders over $150. Free Shipping does not apply to boards. When free shipping is applied, we reserve the right to choose the shipping method.

Return & Exchange Policies

We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of the original order date, provided the merchandise is unopened, unworn, and unwashed with tags attached (where applicable) and in original condition. If a returned item does not meet the above requirements, the item will be returned to the customer at his or her cost.

To return or exchange products, simply mail the product back with your receipt, an explanation for the return and a note about which item you would like in exchange (if applicable). We suggest that you use tracking and/or insurance. Stand Up Paddle Flatwater is not responsible for returned items that are lost or damaged in transit.

Refunds and credits for returns will be applied to the credit card used to place the order. Please allow 3-4 weeks.

All shipping costs for returns and exchanges are the responsibility of the customer. A processing fee of $5 will apply to all returns and exchanges, unless the reason for the exchange is an error on our part. Returns are subject to a 8% merchant processing fee.
